Beauty and pleasure for young pediatric patients, particularly in orthopedic surgery, burns, neurosurgery and maxillofacial surgery.
Some twenty young patients and their families will be able to benefit from this device imagined and created by Art dans la Cité, which enables large-scale projection of immersive digital works of art.
The entire care team has been trained in its use, and the digital works can now be used to accompany patients on their care journey: interactive works to combat isolation and boredom, contemplative works for complicated care…
While lengths of stay vary, many children spend several days or even weeks in neurosurgery and burns wards. Some treatments can be long and painful, and Illuminart transforms the room and distracts the child.
Boredom and isolation also threaten some patients, especially at weekends. Illuminart’s interactive applications allow them to play, learn and escape.
Many thanks to Prof. Olivier Klein and his team, and to the association Les Blouses Roses for their support.
And to our partners: Fondation ORPEA, Fondation de France, Ministère de la Culture and Fondation Keyrus.
