Accompanied by ADLC, Alexandre Muttoni and Gabrielle Sibieude, two of the four artists currently working on the latest Illuminart creation, were at the CH de Pau on Tuesday September 20 to run an art workshop and test their work on caregivers and patients.
Staff from the pediatric and neonatal wards were able to try out the life-size Cache-cache Parc game in a room and chat with the artists.
The images are graphic, with soft lines and cheerful colors that stand out even in good lighting conditions. The fact that the landscape is randomly re-generated with each game was a big hit. Alexandre & Gabrielle were able to talk to the nursing staff about the animal repertoire, the level of scientific precision, the tone to adopt, the presentation of the different species, etc. A patient from the ward was able to spend some time with the team.
A patient from the ward was able to spend a special moment with the two artists. She was the game’s first minor beta tester!
This patient has a passion for video games and draws. She was able to discover what goes on behind the scenes of video games and try her hand at drawing on a tablet. Gabrielle explained the principle of graphic design and how she creates elements for the game (animals, plants, etc.). “It’s great to be able to talk to you,” says the young girl, who is one of the few long-stay patients.
